Am I covered by health insurance?

Rebates are available from health insurers for Kinesiology, Nutrition, Shiatsu Therapy and Intuitive Body work. Some funds offer more rebates depending on your level of cover. Please check with your fund to see if any entitlements apply. Natures Health Practice does not directly bill health insurance companies, however, we will provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  Please call and check your plan.
Structural Massage is not covered by any health insurance policy but Natures Health Practice can provide you with a tax invoice.

Unfortunately there is no Medicare benefit for these procedures.

 Are these treatments safe for everyone?

Anyone and everyone can benefit from our services, whether you’re pregnant, recovering from an injury or operation, or have a specific kind of illness or disability. Each treatment is tailored to suit you and your needs. However some health conditions can be worsened by massage.

Some contraindications for massage include:

·         Flu

·         Fever

·         infectious diseases

·         intoxication by drugs or alcohol

·         phlebitis

·         aneurism

·         bacterial infection

What does a session involve?

The first session at Natures Health Practice will focus on getting to know you, finding out what your needs are and looking for the cause of your discomfort. It’s a good idea to come in 10 minutes early for your first visit to allow enough time to fill out a questionnaire form. We can also email the questionnaire if more efficient for you!

First consultations are 1 hour for Nutrition, 1.5 hours for Kinesiology and Shiatsu. For Structural Massage your first treatment may go for 2.5 – 3 hours.
Please allow time to relax and rest in the hours following your initial Structural Massage treatment.
